The Privacy Center is hosted by TruePrivacy and served on your own domain, styled as a seamless extension of your brand — visitors should never feel they have left your site.
Privacy Center branding settings with theme preview

Initial setup

1

Create your Privacy Center

Under Privacy Center → Settings, create the hub for your organization. A staging preview URL is available immediately so you can configure everything before going live.
2

Choose what to expose

Toggle the modules visitors will see: published policies, the DSR request form, consent and preference management, and the auto-generated cookie declaration. See DSR & Preferences for configuring the request form itself.
3

Set languages

Enable the languages you support — 30+ are available. Visitors see their browser language automatically, with a manual switcher fallback to your configured default.

Custom domain

Serve the Privacy Center from a subdomain you control, such as privacy.yourbrand.com:
1

Add the domain

Enter your subdomain under Settings → Domain.
2

Create the CNAME

Add the CNAME record shown in the dashboard at your DNS provider, pointing your subdomain at TruePrivacy.
3

Wait for verification

TruePrivacy verifies the record and provisions the TLS certificate automatically. The domain status turns Active when the portal is being served securely.
Certificate renewal is automatic for as long as the CNAME remains in place — there is nothing to maintain.

Branding and theme

ElementWhat you can customize
LogoUpload light and dark variants; shown in the portal header and emails
ColorsPrimary, accent, background, and text colors to match your brand palette
TypographyChoose typefaces for headings and body copy
CopyWelcome text, section headings, form labels, and confirmation messages — per language
FooterYour own links, legal imprint, and contact details
Changes render in a live preview before you publish, and the portal is fully responsive and meets WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards out of the box.
On paid plans, no TruePrivacy branding is required anywhere on the portal — it is entirely white-label.

Publishing policies

The Privacy Center doubles as the canonical home for your public privacy documents:
  • Add documents — privacy notice, cookie policy, and any other public policies, authored in the dashboard or pasted from your legal team’s copy.
  • Version history — every published revision is retained with its publication date. Visitors always see the current version; you keep every prior one for evidence.
  • Per-language versions — publish translations per policy; visitors get their language automatically.
  • Regulation-aware display — surface the disclosures relevant to the visitor’s region, with GDPR information shown to European visitors, India DPDP notices to Indian visitors, and CCPA disclosures to Californians.

Going live

1

Review the preview

Walk through the staging URL in each enabled language, on desktop and mobile.
2

Publish

Click Publish. The portal goes live at your custom domain within moments.
3

Link from everywhere

Link the Privacy Center from your website footer, your privacy policy, and your cookie banner. The URL is stable and can also be embedded as an iframe if preferred.
Publishing the portal does not replace your legal review. Policies are published verbatim — have counsel approve the content before it goes live.
